Ours is a developing country. So no nation can achieve success in development activities without the participation of women. In our country women constitute half of the total population. So, leaving half the total population unemployed we can not think of changing our lot. At present our country earns foreign currency by exporting ready-made garments. It is remarkable that women workers are the main workforce of all these garments factories. Women can play a vital role to development of our country. But in the participation of women in development activities was not induced. Now they are participating in socio-economic development of the country. They, side by side with men, do various nation-building activities. Activities like fisheries production, animal husbandry, poultry, dairy production, spices of spices and fruits and vegetables are looked after by women besides household activities. Nowadays, women are not restricted to the household activities. They are working as doctor, engineer, lawyer, deputy commissioner, secretary, police officer, banker etc. So achievement of women to the development of our economy are not less than that of men.
