CORRUPTION
Corruption means dishonest or illegal behavior especially of people in
authority present in our country. There is hardly anyone who is not good
acquainted with the very word "corruption". Today each every
government sector of the country is futile to the core because of the
widespread practice of corruption by the people who are at the operate of power
by the officers, by the clerks and so on. The country has topped list five
times from the view point of corruption. There is none to dispute with the
vicious corruption practiced by the corrupt people. There is none to raise
voice against the galloping corruption. However there are many reasons behind
this galloping corruption and the reasons are not far to seek. Thirst for
power, pelf, wealth and money is the root cause of corruption. Greed, avarice
and dishonesty, nepotism and favoritism also contribute to the cause of
corruption. The consequence of corruption has a far reaching negative effect on
socioeconomic condition of our country. It has already sucked up the life blood
of our economy. It has made the country a fathomless basket. It has corroded
the economy, retarded the economic growth and defeat the various development programmers.
By practicing corruption the corrupt are growing richer and richer the poor are
becoming poorer and poorer. The widespread practice of corruption should not be
allowed to go uncontrolled. The corrupted people should be brought down with an
iron rod. It should be checked, controlled and prevented at any cost so that
the country get rid of this national disease and see the ray of hope
development and the people not involved in it can heave a sigh of relief and
hope for the best and better days. Proverb goes that example is better than
precedence. So they should be given exemplary punishment. Now is the proper
time to raise voice, take necessary steps and correctional measures against the
corrupted society. Last after all the will power of the corrupted people is
enough to free the country from the grip of corruption. They should take such
an unshaken determination that they would never take resort to corruption.
